2022 Choosing a New Energy Vehicle is not Easy

Choosing a new energy vehicle in 2022 is not easy. Although there is a wide range of vehicles to choose from, quality can be inconsistent.

After examining the XPeng P7, I found that its design was pleasing to the eye, but unfortunately, the interior was not spacious enough, making me feel cramped. The G9, on the other hand, had a larger frame, amazing Dolby sound effects, and an impressive 5D theatre display, but with a higher price tag and a front face design that did not appeal to me.

The BYD Tang EV had a great electric vehicle range, but the dimensions of the driver’s seat made for inconvenient ingress and egress, causing me to reluctantly give it up as an option.

Although Tesla has great technology, it is a bit too expensive, without a noticeably better ride comfort over other comparably priced vehicles.

I then expanded my options to include the GAC Aion, Volvo, Volkswagen ID6, Ford Mustang Mach-E, as well as the Xpeng P5, WM W6, Leapmotor, Nio, Changan Blue, and the Voyah SUV models, and, unfortunately, all of them fell short of my ideal vehicle.

And then there’s the R7. This is one of the few vehicles that I fell in love with at first sight. The exterior and interior designs were both big hits with me. For its price, one can get an R7 that includes a range of 642 kilometers, a luxury package (worth 10,000 yuan), a visual enhancement package (also worth 10,000 yuan), the RISING PILOT fully integrated advanced intelligent driving system software package (worth 30,000 yuan, but now available for free, for a limited time), and a quick recharge package (can charge from 30% to 80% in 30 minutes). Of course, the R7 also supports battery swapping, which I believe is more cost-effective than Supercharging. Additionally, it has an adaptable battery leasing program. An R7 with a battery swap also qualifies for a government subsidy of 12,600 yuan. Overall, with all the additional options that come with the vehicle, the pricing advantage of the R7 stands out. And with L2-level assisted driving capabilities coming at delivery, it’s difficult to say no to this car.
