On December 30, 2022, the Jidu ROBO-01 made its official debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show, revealing four primary exterior color options for the first time. The company also unveiled its second model, the ROBO-02, positioned as a pure electric coupe. With these reveals, Jidu established its family design language.

The ROBO-01 measures 4,853 mm in length, 1,990 mm in width, and 1,611 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,000 mm. The newly released colors include Galaxy Purple, Starry Gray, Starlight Orange, and Star Morning White. The vehicle will be showcased at upcoming auto shows in Guangzhou and Haikou.
The ROBO-02 is positioned as a pure electric coupe, sharing a design lineage with Jidu’s first concept car and the ROBO-01.

The ROBO-02 features a flush door handle design, resulting in a wide and low-slung profile that enhances its sporty aesthetic and visual appeal. It retains interactive headlights and utilizes hidden LiDAR sensors. Combined with aerodynamic wheels and an active rear spoiler, these elements help reduce the vehicle's drag coefficient.

Jidu has integrated Baidu Apollo’s full-stack advanced autonomous driving capabilities and safety architecture. The company stated that the ROBO-02 will also feature tailored scenario-based services and enhanced intelligent functions in the future.

It also comes equipped with a home DC charging pile rated at 7 kW, which fully charges the vehicle in three hours at room temperature. Alternatively, using a standard 220 V/10 A household charging gun provides 2 kW of power, completing a full charge in 8.5 hours.
In terms of smart features, the Treasure Bear supports Bluetooth key functionality for seamless entry. Owners can also use the Geely Owner APP to remotely unlock the car, locate it, check vehicle status, unlock doors, turn on the air conditioning, and open the trunk.

In terms of exterior design, the new car adopts the family styling of Toyota's bZ series, featuring a popular full-width daytime running light at the front that gives it a strong mecha-inspired look.
In terms of body dimensions, the bZ3 measures 4,725 x 1,835 x 1,475 mm in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 2,880 mm, positioning it as a mid-size pure electric sedan.
Zeekr Launches the 2023 Model 001

Zeekr released the 2023 Zeekr 001 on January 1, 2023, featuring numerous configuration updates and launching new performance-related option packages.
First, on the basis of the standard inductive frameless automatic doors in the YOU version, the ME and WE versions will come standard with silent electric suction doors, and the automatic doors have been specifically optimized to address the issue of manual push assistance.
Three new exterior colors have been added: Sunlight Orange, Extreme Blue, and Polar Night Black.

The entire lineup features Monaco NAPPA full-grain top-layer leather, a premium material superior to standard NAPPA leather that enhances seating comfort and softness.
Heated, ventilated, massaging, and memory-equipped front seats are standard across all trims. Other luxury features, such as fully electrically adjustable seats throughout the vehicle and an intelligent constant-temperature air conditioning system, are also included as standard equipment.
For the WE 100 kWh variant, 1,000 sets of the 'Thousand-Mile Range Package' will be available via limited reservation. This package utilizes CTP 3.0 Qilin batteries with a capacity of 140 kWh. Quick Take:
At the long-awaited Guangzhou Auto Show, numerous automakers unveiled their latest models. Surprisingly, Jidu announced its second vehicle before its first car had officially entered mass production and delivery.
Meanwhile, after maintaining monthly deliveries of over 10,000 units for three consecutive months with the previous-generation 001, Zeekr has finally introduced a minor facelift. The update adds new features and launches a performance option pack unique in China, enhancing Zeekr’s competitiveness in the coming year.
From a pricing perspective, the FAW Toyota bZ3 is indeed a sincere product. However, reviewing the configuration details reveals certain shortcomings. The base model features a battery capacity of less than 50 kWh and a motor power output of only 135 kW. Even the top-tier version does not offer a four-wheel-drive option. This means that despite its sporty appearance, true performance enthusiasts are unlikely to be satisfied.

Quick Take:
The most critical metric for automakers in 2022 was their delivery figures for the final month. Companies were not only striving to meet annual delivery targets but also aiming to help customers secure the last available national subsidies.
Li Auto became the first new-energy vehicle maker to exceed 20,000 monthly deliveries. This milestone was achieved with just two models that began deliveries in the second half of the year. Given the high degree of overlap between the user bases of these two models, reaching this figure was particularly challenging.
03XPENG and BYD Announce Price Adjustments for 2023 Models

BYD reissued its price hike statement originally released on November 23, 2022. Starting January 1, 2023, prices for all models will increase by RMB 2,000 to RMB 6,000 due to the expiration of national new energy vehicle subsidies.
Specific price adjustments for individual models are currently unknown; customers are advised to contact local dealerships for detailed information.

The price adjustments announced by XPENG reflect the difference caused by the expiration of national subsidies on December 31, 2022. XPENG has chosen to keep the prices of its existing models consistent with post-subsidy levels from 2022, thereby maintaining the final purchase price for consumers.
