Have you all received the OTA update for R7? Let me join in the fun and share my favorite features.
Wow, the OTA update from FEIFAN came right on time. I received the update notification in the second week after I picked up my R7, which makes my R7 almost a “brand-new version.” I booked the update and estimated it took about half an hour to complete. I went through all the updated features using the FEIFAN app and would like to share my two favorites:
“MiGu Quick Play” cloud gaming platform has been added.
Since there are no conditions for me to install a home charger downstairs, I have prepared for long-term fast charging outside. Besides, FEIFAN will deploy many battery-swapping stations this year. So “fast charging” and “battery-swapping” are my current power-supplying methods. Every time I take my son to charge, he always wants to play games, such as racing or even the classic fighting game “The King of Fighters” loved by adults born in the 80s and 90s. When I saw the newly added cloud gaming platform “MiGu Quick Play,” I felt it was perfect. I plan to buy an official controller to connect and play with my son. He can play games or watch cartoons on the co-pilot seat, which I think is great. However, since it is a cloud gaming platform, network signal requirements are relatively high, and outdoor experience would be better~
【New Navigation “Power Supplement Planning” and “Cost Accounting”】
Previously, I also bought an electric car, I won’t say what brand it is, but the range is only a little over 300…So when I need to travel a little farther, I have to plan how far the car can go, where to recharge, when to recharge cheaply, how many available spaces there are, etc. Although I got used to it after a long time, it was still a bit of a hassle. Now, after the R7 upgrade, I can use the car’s navigation system to plan and calculate the above conditions. I tried a route that I often take, and the results calculated by the system are quite accurate, and the actual remaining mileage calculated by the system is always more accurate than what we estimate based on experience. I think this is pretty good!
Another new feature can be understood as the linkage of the above functions-super energy-saving mode. If the car is running low on power while driving, opening this feature will link the “screen off” and “smart driving low power consumption”. Simply put, it will leave some room for the car and try to make sure that we can drive the R7 to the charging station with maximum capacity. I’m not sure how much power consumption can be reduced or how much range can be increased, but there must be a reason for the existence of this feature. Fortunately, most charging stations in second- and third-tier cities are now well covered, so unless it is passive (such as being stuck in traffic for a long time), the car will not run out of power before we think of recharging.
Other optimizations such as voice and layout, I am still experiencing slowly, and I will share more in subsequent posts. That’s all for now ~
