The 25th Chengdu International Auto Show to Be Held from August 26 to September 4, 2022

The 25th Chengdu International Auto Show will take place from August 26 to September 4, 2022, at the Western China International Expo City, Chengdu. Garage has compiled a list of some of the new energy vehicles that will be unveiled at the event, along with the venue map at the end of the article to help you find your way around.

August 26-28 are Media Day and Professional Visitor Day, and August 29-September 4 are Public Visitor Days.

This year’s Chengdu International Auto Show will be the first A-level auto show to be held on schedule. It will accommodate 128 domestic and foreign automobile brands with approximately 1,600 vehicles on display, covering a total exhibition area of more than 200,000 square meters.

We have compiled a list of some of the new energy vehicles to be unveiled at the event, along with the venue map at the end of the article.

NIO ET5 (Hall 10, Booth H1010)

NIO ET5

On December 18, 2021, NIO unveiled the new model ET5 at the NIO Day. The exterior of the ET5 has already been officially revealed, while the interior may be showcased for the first time at the Chengdu Auto Show.

On June 8, 2022, ET5 was officially launched by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The specific parameters are as follows:

NIO ET5 Interior

The official image of the NIO ET5 interior has been released, adopting a minimalist style consistent with the NIO NT 2.0 platform. The materials used are eco-friendly knitted fabrics. The cabin configuration is also similar to that of the NIO ET7, featuring the third-generation Qualcomm Digital Cockpit platform, a 10.2-inch HDR digital instrument panel, a 12.8-inch AMOLED center console display, 5G connectivity, a 23-speaker, 7.1.4 immersive sound system.### Fevan R7 (Hall 11 H1102)

Fevan R7 is expected to be officially launched in late September as the flagship product of the entire brand, with high expectations.

Fevan R7 also uses the QUICK CLICK reinforced battery quick-change patent, which realizes the replaceable and upgradable battery.

The car is equipped with a 43-inch true color three-screen that spans the cabin, and also uses AR-HUD of Huawei’s optical products.

In terms of perception hardware, the laser radar + 4D imaging radar + 8 million camera + Orin X chip can be said to be a “grand slam”. At the Chengdu Auto Show, Fevan will release this high-end intelligent driving solution that uses the industry’s first full-fusion algorithm.

On April 15th of this year, Fevan R7 landed in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology:

There are five versions that have been publicized, including two battery-swapping models and three charging models;
In terms of power, there are a single-motor version with HuaYu Electric 250 kw and a dual-motor version with a front 150 kw and rear 250 kw;
The length, width, and height are 4,900 × 1,925 × 1,655 mm, and the wheelbase is 2,950 mm.

GWM High-End Hiphi Z (Hall 10 H1004)

As the second model of the High-End Hiphi brand, Hiphi Z is positioned as a GT model, and the price range is basically the same as Hiphi X, which is 600,000 to 800,000 yuan.

Hiphi Z has a length, width, and height of 5,036 × 2,018 × 1,439 mm, and a wheelbase of 3,150 mm.

Hiphi Z adopts a more exaggerated and science-fiction style design. The iconic NT exhibition wing doors on the Hiphi X are also retained on the Hiphi Z. Perhaps due to the longitudinal height of the vehicle, the rear door does not have the up-down split design of the Hiphi X, and instead retains the conventional front and rear door design.

The “Star Ring ISD Light Curtain” surrounding the entire vehicle is composed of a total of 4,066 LED light groups.

The HiPhi Bot concept car, which supports automatic angle adjustment, has also been retained.

High-End Hiphi Z will be delivered later this year.### BYD Han Guanglian 07 (Hall 3, H301)

The Han Guanglian 07 is positioned as a mid-size SUV, similar to the BYD Tang, and is equipped with the DM-i/p plug-in hybrid system.

On June 8th of this year, the Han Guanglian 07 was revealed by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, with the following information:

Length, width, and height: 4,820 x 1,920 x 1,750 mm, wheelbase: 2,820 mm;
The maximum power of the front-wheel-drive single-motor DM-i model is 145 kW, and there is no acceleration symbol at the rear;
The DM-i model has a curb weight of 2,140 kg, corresponding to a CLTC of 170 km. It is equipped with a 36.8 kWh battery with official fuel consumption of 5.8 L/100 km.
The DM-p model is equipped with dual motors, with 145 kW at the front and 150 kW at the rear, and an acceleration symbol at the rear with a time of 4.7 s;
The DM-p model has a curb weight of 2,270 kg, corresponding to a CLTC of 150 km. It also has a 36.8 kWh battery and official fuel consumption of 6.7 L/100 km.

Salon Mechadragon (Hall 3, H301)

Salon Mecha’s market positioning is as the first luxury pure electric brand priced over 400,000 RMB in China. The appearance of the car was officially announced at last year’s Guangzhou Auto Show, with a unique and strongly mechanical style.

Mecha Dragon uses high-performance permanent magnet synchronous motors, with a comprehensive output of 400 kW maximum power and 750 N·m peak torque, combined with Michelin high-performance tires and a four-wheel-drive system, with a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 3.7 seconds.

It is also equipped with a 115 kWh large-capacity battery, achieving a range of 802 km according to CLTC standards.

In terms of intelligence, Mecha Dragon is equipped with 4 solid-state hybrid laser radars, achieving laser full-view coverage. These 4 laser radars are Huawei’s 96-line hybrid solid-state laser radars, with a single viewing angle range of 120° × 25°, supporting cleaning and automatic heating.

In addition to the 4 laser radars, Mecha Dragon is also equipped with a perception system consisting of 38 sensing components including 7 8-megapixel ultra-high-definition cameras, 4 panoramic cameras, 5 millimeter-wave radars, 12 ultrasonic radars, and an independent high-precision positioning unit. It is equipped with high-precision maps, with a detection distance of more than 500 meters.

However, no information on the interior of Salon Mecha Dragon has been released yet.### Mercedes-Benz EQE (Hall 4 H405)

The Beijing Mercedes-Benz EQE was officially launched on August 24th. Currently, the official prices of the three EQE 350 models range from CNY 528,000 to CNY 585,000.

The Beijing Mercedes-Benz EQE is positioned as a pure electric mid-to-large-sized sedan. In terms of power, it will be equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous motor with a maximum power of 215 kW. The maximum cruising range under CLTC conditions can reach 752 km.

smart #1 BRABUS (Hall 4 H402)

The BRABUS version of smart #1 was officially unveiled on August 15th before the start of test driving of the regular single motor version tomorrow.

The main differences in appearance are the design of a “wind passage” on the front of the car, the darkened text with both Chinese and English letters, the red interior walls of the front air intake, multiple PERFORMANCE signs, an additional same-color roof wing, and three new exterior color schemes, including a high-gloss black and red dual color scheme, a frosted black and red dual color scheme, and a high-gloss red color.

The interior color scheme is black and red. The large B logo of BRABUS finally appears on the headrests, and the seats are made of suede.

However, smart has not yet announced the car information of smart #1 BRABUS, which may also be unveiled at this auto show.

The official price and specific configuration of the BRABUS version of smart #1 will also be announced at this auto show and will be available for limited online sales on the same day.

XPeng G9 (Hall 11 H112)

The exterior of the XPeng G9 was first unveiled at last year’s Guangzhou Auto Show, and the interior was recently officially released.

The exterior style of the G9 continues the familial front face design of the P7 and P5, especially with further improvements based on the P7.

The visual center of the interior is designed with a 10.25-inch screen and two 14.96-inch screens.

As XPeng’s first internationally oriented product, the G9 not only shoulders the mission of the XPeng brand to move forward and increase sales, but also demonstrates XPeng’s determination to move towards internationalization.### Haval H6 DHT (Hall 1, Booth H101)

As the sales pillar of Great Wall, Haval H6 underwent a major transformation on August 22 with a full upgrade to a Lemon hybrid DHT.

In the Haval third-generation H6 super hybrid DHT twin-star vehicle lineup, the H6 DHT HEV has a selling price of RMB149,800, and the H6 DHT PHEV has a pre-sale price of RMB168,800/RMB176,800.

The Haval H6 PHEV version has a pure electric range of 110 km when fully charged, and the comprehensive range under working conditions (WLTM) can reach 1,150 km. Even in a low-power state, the fuel consumption per 100 km is as low as 5.6 L.

Zeekr 009 (Hall 10, Booth H1002)

The Zeekr 009, as the second model of the Zeekr brand, has received considerable attention since its spy shots were first released. Based on the SEA vast architecture, the Zeekr 009 was registered by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on August 11:

It adopts a front and rear dual-motor layout with a maximum power output of 200 kW + 200 kW and a top speed of up to 190 km/h.
The length, width, and height of the car are 5,209 × 2,024 × 1,856/1867 mm, and the wheelbase is 3,205 mm.
The suspension system will consist of a combination of front double wishbone + rear multi-link + CDC shock absorber + air suspension + hydraulic bushing.
The overall vehicle drag coefficient is 0.27.

However, official information on the interior of the Zeekr 009 has not been released.

DENZA D9 (Hall 3, Booth H302)

On May 18th of this year, DENZA D9 officially announced its pre-sale price and simultaneously began a nationwide tour.

The length, width, and height of the DENZA D9 are 5,250 × 1,960 × 1,920 mm, and the wheelbase is 3,110 mm.

In terms of exterior design, the hybrid and electric versions of DENZA D9 have two different front grille styles. The hybrid version features an open, horizontal mesh grille, while the electric version has a vertical, closed grille.

From the coverage area of the grille decoration pattern relative to the grille, the coverage rate of the hybrid version’s scale pattern is much higher than that of the electric version’s vertical stripes.The chrome trim around the windows of the car is just right, and the trapezoidal shape on the D-pillar area outlines a sharp tail window line. The three straight lines on the D-pillar create a sense of solid visual feeling as if the air is flowing by.

Seven screens (a 10.25-inch instrument screen, a 12-inch HUD, two 5.5-inch armrest screens for the rear seats, two 12.8-inch headrest screens for the rear seats, and a 15.6/17.3-inch center console screen), as well as an 8-megapixel camera and voice function, are fully covered.

Hongqi HQ9 (Booth H609, Hall 6)

Hongqi’s first MPV, the HQ9, started pre-sales not long ago. As a mid-to-large-sized MPV, the starting price of the new car is 400,000 yuan.

The Hongqi HQ9 has a typical Hongqi family design language, and a large area of waterfall-style grille. The length, width, and height of the new car are 5,222 × 2,005 × 1,892 mm, with a wheelbase of 3,200 mm.

The car will be equipped with a 2.0T engine with a maximum power of 252 horsepower. A plug-in hybrid version will be launched later.
