I conducted a brief interview with some of the car owners I previously interviewed on these topics, and the feedback I received was that these car owners all said that choosing Ideal ONE was a wise choice.
One of the car owners said: “No car company will launch a free replacement service for feedback that the seat is a bit hard and the suspension is not ideal. As one of the first Ideal car owners, I feel very proud.”

In the past, most of the Ideal ONE car owners I have come into contact with are male car owners, and it is basically difficult to meet female car owners. Because the outside world also said that Ideal is actually a “straight male car maker”, so how did a “straight male car company” attract female car owners? This is something I am quite curious about.
So I chatted with Yun Gege.
01 Yun Gege
Different from the following car owners, Yun Gege is quite satisfied with Ideal ONE. Regarding the news of free hardware upgrades, she said that she is basically satisfied with the hardware and the suspension does not feel like what other car owners said. The noise is also okay. Therefore, this upgrade is a better user experience for her.
Yun Gege mainly considers the child aspect. So her car purchase demand is very obvious: a comfortable and not too expensive SUV. Yun Gege said: “Without children, I can choose a car at will, but once I have a child, the first consideration is to put a safety seat. My child has just been born, and we need it to be more convenient to carry the child up and down the car, so the first step is to exclude cars.”
Yun Gege’s Ideal ONE
Yun Gege considered many cars when choosing a car, including Toyota Highlander and GL8. Yun Gege thinks that although the Highlander has a high value preservation, she really doesn’t like its interior; while the GL8 is comfortable to sit in, it is still a family car, and driving a business car feels “a bit stupid”.
In addition, Yun Gege’s father has an Audi Q3, and her sister has a Mercedes-Benz GLK. But she has no feeling for Audi Q3 because she may have driven it too much. And her sister’s GLK is not very ideal in terms of space.

👍Advantages of Li Xiang ONE
After receiving the car, Yun Gege said that the most intuitive advantage of Li Xiang ONE is saving money. “Our car is mostly used for urban road conditions. Due to the property issue, there is no charging pile installed at home yet, so we charge it outside. It costs about 12 yuan to charge once. If we have our own charging pile, it feels like it’s free,” she said.
In addition, Yun Gege’s favorite feature is “three hot baths,” which refers to the heated steering wheel, heated seats, and heated air conditioning. She thinks it’s great that they can be turned on before getting into the car. “My husband is afraid of the cold, so it’s really great to feel warm after preheating. This is a feature that we can’t live without once we’re used to it. Regarding the configuration, I admire Li Xiang for so well meeting parents’ needs,” Yun Gege said as she complimented Li Xiang ONE’s configuration.
As for the car’s entertainment system, Yun Gege gave it a perfect score. “You can watch movies as soon as you get in the car. It’s more convenient than watching on a mobile phone and you can always catch up on episodes whenever and wherever you are. This is something that really meets users’ needs.”
👎Disadvantages of Li Xiang ONE
As for the disadvantages, Yun Gege said that there are still some areas of the car’s entertainment system she doesn’t understand. “As a tomboy like me, I struggled with those mode names for a while. If they could be more straightforward, I would like it even more. The language used by the engineers is not easy to understand yet.”
However, after the OTA update, which changed the car’s settings to prioritize either fuel or pure electricity, Yun Gege thought it became much better and more concise. This is also an important reason why she likes Li Xiang: the needs of users are always the top priority.### How does people around you think about buying Ideal ONE?
Regarding the purchase of Ideal ONE, Yun Gege said that before receiving the car, many people did not think it was a good choice. “They all thought, with this amount of money, why not buy a Highlander, BBA or something like that?”
However, after receiving the car, Yun Gege invited relatives and friends to test drive it. “After the test drive, many people were impressed and became interested in this car, making it a big hit. Even the brother-in-law who owns a Mercedes-Benz wants to buy one.” Speaking of this, Yun Gege believes that she has a good eye for cars.

In terms of the overall satisfaction with Ideal ONE, Yun Gege gave it 4.5 stars. “I reserved 0.5 stars for OTA, hoping for a more perfect presentation.”

Secondly, the space is also a relatively satisfying aspect, and the six-seat layout is very convenient for taking care of children,” Yun Gege said.

02Steven
Just like Yun Gege, Steven also expressed his opinion about the upgrade decision announced this time, “As one of the first car owners, I feel that my choice is right. Ideal has indeed fulfilled its promise not to treat car owners unfairly. At the same time, looking at it rationally, the product strength of Ideal ONE has been enhanced with this hardware update, which I have never heard of before. Originally, this car was already worth the 328,000 yuan price tag, but now it feels like it’s even more valuable.”But the difference with Steven’s experience in the product is 「I used to think that the suspension was fine, but the noise of the chassis was not as good as I imagined. Now my expectation for the Ideal ONE is to further reduce noise and enhance NVH.」
Before considering the Ideal ONE, Steven had been focusing on cars priced around 300,000 yuan, such as the Highlander, CR-V, Tiguan L, and Pajero.
As for why he rejected these cars, Steven said, 「The Pajero belongs to the hardcore off-road category and is a little uncomfortable. I mainly drive in the city, so it is not suitable for me. The four-wheel-drive and two-wheel-drive versions of the Tiguan L differ too much in price, and considering safety, I gave up. My wife didn’t like the appearance of the CR-V so we didn’t choose it. The Highlander was the final candidate, but the configuration of the traditional SUV brand was too low, and we live in a city with license plate restrictions all year round. So we started to consider the Ideal ONE.」
Steven’s Ideal ONE
In addition to traditional fuel cars, Steven also considered the NIO ES6, 「I have watched NIO’s online press conference and even won a small prize.」
However, why did he also give up the ES6? He said, 「The efficiency and convenience of ES6’s long-distance energy replenishment cannot meet my needs, and the number of charging piles in second- and third-tier cities is too small. That’s why I didn’t choose NIO. But to be honest, NIO’s cars are still very good.」
The fundamental reason for buying the Ideal ONE, according to Steven, is that he personally likes digital products and likes new things. After experiencing the Ideal ONE, he increasingly feels that this car is particularly suitable for his needs.
Because Steven has a baby at home, there is a need for a large space in the car to accommodate a child seat, a stroller, etc. Secondly, he and his wife like to go on self-driving tours, and they think they may go to some wilderness places, so they also have a demand for the vehicle’s passability.
He also said, 「Actually, I don’t have much money, but I have high requirements. In the end, the choice is to take risks and choose a new brand. Based on the performance of Ideal and Li Xiang, my family and I think that the risk of choosing this new brand is relatively low.」
So when Steven made his decision, his requirements for a car were high. When he compared cars of the same level within his budget, he found that none of them met his requirements. So he considered a new brand that met his requirements. The key point was that the Ideal ONE met his high requirements, but at the same time, he had to take risks. After evaluating it, he found that the risk of the Ideal ONE was relatively low.

For Steven, who came from a fuel car, the most impressive thing is intelligence, 「The assisted driving is really easy to use, which reduces fatigue when driving long distances. AEB is also very useful. There were a few times when it reminded me when I just changed my car and was adjusting to the braking feeling, which avoided rear-end collisions.And speaking of the shortcomings of Li ONE, Steven said, “the main issue lies in the NVH aspect. When the battery is low in the winter, the NVH needs improvement, which creates a gap in the driving experience. When the output power decreases at low battery levels, the power of the range extender needs to be increased, causing the sound to be a bit louder. We hope that the upgrade can improve this.”
In addition, he mentioned that “the single pedal driving is quite practical, but the regenerative braking of Li ONE is still a bit weak. In most cases, you need to step on the brake to enhance the braking effect. Also, when the battery is at high levels (around 90% or 95%), the regenerative braking will weaken, which takes some getting used to and is different from what he expected of the braking effect.”
As for the usage of driving modes, previously, Li ONE had three power modes. Steven stated that initially, he used the hybrid mode more frequently, but recently switched to the battery saving mode.
“In hybrid mode, both the battery and fuel will decrease, and you need to charge the car at public charging stations. If you don’t, the NVH will get worse, and the power will weaken. Also, you cannot remotely start the air conditioning and seat heating when the battery level is below 20%. However, using public charging stations is inconvenient as they are limited by power, and you can only charge for about one and a half to two hours during which you can’t do anything except wait,” Steven said.
After switching to the two modes (fuel priority and pure electric priority), Steven said, “I agree with removing the hybrid mode, as there is not much ability to maintain the battery in the hybrid mode in the city. For users without home charging capability, charging at a public station takes about an hour, which is troublesome. For users who have home charging, they can just use the pure electric priority mode, and the hybrid mode is meaningless.”
Regarding other people’s opinions of buying a Li ONE, Steven stated that his family is quite supportive because they are all familiar with the company and the car.
“I took my wife to see the Li ONE release conference. The experienced drivers, Zhe Lin Ban Zhang, and their live broadcasts to the auto show, and daily news are frequently shared with her. I also showed my parents the interview of Li Xiang by Da Ji. They think that the company is down-to-earth and understands our needs,” Steven said.
He believes that perhaps because their family communicates more honestly, they have no hesitation in discussing the shortcomings of the Li ONE and the risks associated with its maintenance. After weighing the pros and cons, everyone thinks it’s not too bad.

As for the overall satisfaction of the Ideal ONE, Steven thinks “Based on the current situation, I would rate it at 4.5 stars, mainly due to NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness) issues and differences from expectations.”

03 Yangtou
Yangtou is the third car owner interviewed. He also thinks: “After the upgrade announcement made by Ideal, I feel that I didn’t choose the wrong car and that Ideal is indeed a conscientious company.”
Regarding the upgrade, Yangtou believes that “We all know that suspension is a weak point, but the service and OTA updates have made us very expectant and have dispelled many concerns. But this free upgrade is still surprising. It not only improves the product’s performance, but also makes the old customers feel warm.”
Yangtou’s Ideal ONE
“Previously on the group chat, I believed that the suspension was indeed a shortcoming. The current suspension is finely filtered but slightly hard, which results in a poor experience on rough roads. However, it is still a passing grade level and worth the price. It’s naturally best that it can be upgraded for free,” Yangtou said.
In addition, he also feels that the sound insulation is not very good on rough roads, and the wind noise is slightly loud when driving at high speeds. “To put it bluntly, the car performs well on delicate roads but on rough roads, the noise of the tyres is not small but slightly louder,” said Yangtou.
When asked why he chose to buy the Ideal ONE, Yangtou said: “I wanted a car that costs around 300-400k RMB, has advanced driving assistance features, and is suitable for long-distance highway travel.”
At first, he considered buying a Volvo XC60, but later felt that he should buy an electric car. He also considered the NIO ES6 in the field of electric cars, but he gave up due to the demand for long-distance travel.## Summary

In the Ideal ONE community of 42HOW, Yangtou is relatively active and often complains about Ideal ONE in the group. “The deeper the love, the sharper the responsibility, and I do complain a lot. Mainly in two points, one is energy consumption lower than expected, and the other is the on-board system that is not as expected.” Yangtou said.
“Previously, when I was running on the highway, my energy consumption was over 10 litres. When the power was preserved, the urban road conditions would also require 11-12 litres. The pure electric driving range was only 70-80 kilometers until the range extender started.” Yangtou mentioned his experience with energy consumption.
Secondly, Yangtou thinks that the onboard system is not as good as expected: “The onboard system screen is cool, and the basic functions are handy, but there are too few intelligent applications. Besides iQiyi, there are no additional functions, and I don’t feel that it has fully utilized the potential of intelligent onboard systems.”
On January 15th, after OTA updates, Yangtou found that fuel consumption had actually decreased. “I don’t know if it’s a change in driving habits. The fuel consumption on the highway and in the city has decreased by one or two litres. Now it is around 9 litres on the highway and the electric power in the city is only 7-8 litres. At the same time, due to the warmer weather, pure electric driving range is easily over 100 kilometers. So in terms of energy consumption, I can accept it now.”
In addition to the above, Yangtou also complained about some problems, such as poor ability to filter small bumps, slightly hard seats, and loud noise from the range extender and wind noise on the highway. But he said that these can be accepted.## Translation

Yangtou also told me that he still has high expectations for future OTA updates, mainly reflected in two aspects: “One is the car system, and I strongly demand the addition of a secure browser, which can browse websites while ensuring the security of the core programs. In this way, some personalized needs of the users can be partially met. For example, I like to use Douban FM to listen to music and Bilibili to watch videos. Although there are no apps, basic functions can be implemented on the web.
The second is in terms of assisted driving. OTA also has potential to recognize traffic lights and speed limits, automatic parking usability, narrow parking with driverless automatic ingress and egress, which I think are also useful functions.”

Furthermore, the functional aspects of the car can be constantly upgraded through OTA updates. If there are any issues, the car owners can provide feedback, and if there is high demand, they can be improved.”
Recommendations for Purchase
“Before buying, you must determine your own needs, and it is best to have some tolerance for these new companies. Because from the perspective of OTA updates in recent years, there is still a probability of occasional abnormal situations. 04 Amulin
Amulin is a digital enthusiast but not a car enthusiast. Due the nature of his profession, he has a lot of interaction with the automobile industry and is interested in new energy vehicles and autonomous driving. He wants to buy a car to personally experience it.
AMULIN’s Ideal ONE
AMULIN’s hometown is about a thousand kilometers away from his workplace, so he originally prioritized hybrid models for their selection criteria. “The charging facilities are still inadequate in my hometown, and going home would be inconvenient. Therefore, the priority was placed on hybrid models,” AMULIN said.
However, later on, he was interested in both Tesla Model 3 and Ideal ONE.
“Before placing the deposit, I was hesitant between the Model 3 and the Ideal ONE. In general, there is nothing wrong with it. But if you have to point out some small flaws, firstly, the car is still a bit high, if one foot does not step into the car, but on the car paint under the door frame, will it be easy to chip the paint off? And secondly, I hope to enable the mobile phone screen projection function. Taking navigation as an example, sometimes the voice recognition cannot identify accurate addresses. Compared with the previous car owners, Phelies seems to be less talkative. The reason is that his favorite car models are not ideal ONE, but Alphard, BMW X7 and other models, but buying a car he likes requires his own money, while buying a car that his elders like will have “sponsorship”, such as ideal ONE, Model X.
