On June 28th, Chinese EV battery manufacturer CATL (Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited) announced in a stock exchange filing to extend battery supply deal with Tesla.
The deal will extend from Jan 2022 to Dec 2025. Currently CATL’s batteries are used in Model 3/Y made in Shanghai.
