Autonomous driving reaches the level that Tesla currently has made available.

What about the efficiency of range extender?

Ying Ge (Weibo @Ying Ge): There will be some energy loss in multiple conversion processes. However, direct drive of the engine has extremely low efficiency in most working conditions. The range extender is designed to keep the engine working in a highly efficient range.

Can it get green license plates?

It will take another one or two years for the Investment Promotions Division of National Development and Reform Commission to carry out the direction. By that time, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) may treat Range Extenders and Electric Motors equally, and there are some uncertainties in Beijing.

Charging:

There is a direct current charging port, and ONE supports fast charging. Without conditions to charge, it’s all right not to charge at all, so don’t worry.

Delivery time?

Delivery in the fourth quarter of 2019 for batch orders.

Yu Xinlie adds: It can be delivered at the end of 2019, but it depends on your order time.

No, employees do not have a discount for buying cars.

Maintenance?

TBD.See the press conference for maintenance issues. The range extender is stable and not always on, so maintenance will not be as harsh as for traditional fuel vehicles.

Concerning the intelligent system status at delivery?

The intelligent and assisted driving systems will definitely be fully functional and delivered via OTA to the vehicle. The so-called L2.5 model is the current level for Tesla in China. This will be available at delivery and will not require OTA.

Concerning the layout of purely electric vehicles?

Purely electric vehicles must also achieve a non-range anxiety state with ultra-fast charging.

Concerning production qualifications?

Car and Home will build their own factory in Changzhou. They won’t use contract manufacturing and will ensure quality.

Concerning the configuration?

Car paint color and interior colors can be chosen, but all high-end configurations are standard, including only one model and price. The 6 and 7 seat prices are the same, and the 7 seats are in a 2-3-2 layout.

Concerning specifications?

The car is 5020 mm long, 1960 mm wide, and has a wheelbase of 2935 mm.

Concerning noise control?

Primary optimization is for the range extender, and the cabin exterior noise is aimed to be better than that of the RX450h.

Concerning price and reservations?

The price range will be presented at the press conference, and reservations will be available at the Shanghai Auto Show in April next year. There will be no size concept, and the deposit will be decided by the owner after the test drive ends in the second half of the year.

Which cities will be the first to receive deliveries?

Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Suzhou, Wuhan, Zhengzhou, Xi’an, Chongqing, and Tianjin, a total of 13 cities.
